First schedule change…

Got word today that my racing schedule has already changed and it looks like I will be starting my first race with Garmin/Chipolte at the Tour of Portugal on August 13th. The 10 day tour features a 6km prologue followed by many heavy days in the mountains before ending on the final day with a 30km time trial. Should be euro racing at it’s finest…

Rain..

Just when you thought you had a nice BC summer going it starts again with the rain. Really we can’t complain as it hasn’t really rained almost all month, but I think I am so scarred from this past winter’s horrible weather that I just cringe when it rains here.  Hopefully it tones down a a bit before I need to head out for hill intervals.

GPSs and Burritos

It’s true, as of Aug 1st i will officially riding for Garmin/Chipolte for the remainder of year. As of right now details are few with Garmin/Chipolte doing a race in France somewhere so I guess they are pretty busy at the moment. For the time being the races it looks like I may be doing are Tour of Limousine, Tour of Missourri, Tour de Poutu Charantes, Giro Piemonte and Giro Lombardia, with hopefully worlds thrown in there. I do think this program could quickly change as the whole point of the stagiare is that they send you where they need you when they need you to fill a spot for guys who are tired, injured or what have you. Think they are making some cool maple leaf kit too, nice.

Superweek Wrap up

Filed Under (bros) by Christian on 22-07-2008

This years Superweek went down as the S-Club’s best in history, winning every race save the last one but when it’s lost to the likes of Chris Horner we were definitely not ashamed. Was this the last anyone will hear or see of the S-Club, we are keeping our fingers crossed that the big elusive sponsor will step in and save the program, so we hope not. For Dwayner and myself the season’s biggest races are still to come with Dwayner going to the olymipiads and myself training hard to go over to europe to finish off the year with Garmin/Chipolte, more to come on all that stuff soon.
