Seeing Stars..
Great day, great ride. Today Gord was gracious enough to take us out to ride Kit Peak today as we drove part way out to keep it from being a 7 hour ride. Under sunny warm skies we rode out the Ajo Hwy to the Kit Peak turnoff where for the next 13 miles we climbed thousands of feet to the observatories that sit atop the mountain like white little marshmallows. The road slowly winds its way a full 360 degrees around the mountain like a corkscrew while curving in and out following the natural contours of the rocky mountain. Once we got to the snowy peak we refilled the bottles, put on the leggings and heading back down where on the way we meet up with Cam who joined us for the ride back. Tonight we are meeting up for some sushi with these Gord and Cam, which will be a nice way to finish off a good 27 hour week of riding before heading back home for the holidays.
