A New Year.
As fast as it has seemed to end, it has once again begun. As I sit looking outdoors to the rain coming down in another damp BC day, I am going over a list of errands I need to get done before leaving for my first race of the year. Its January first and I am leaving in one week for Tour Down Under to kick off my racing season. There is that excitement about racing, pounding on the pedals, catching up with race mates you haven’t seen in awhile. Then there is also a sense of apprehension, man the first race always hurts, did I train enough? TDU is always a great way to start off the season though, we arrive a week early to get in some very warm weather training and during our whole two week stay we get to stay in the same hotel and the food is great, a race to be appreciated.
From there we are flying straight into team camp in the south of Spain before we all once again go our ways racing all over the world.
